There's no direct bus, but look at “bus schedules” under the “community” tab it can be done but it can also take a while!

Lukemersh asked "Could anybody tell me if there is a bus that goes from the airport to Carvoeiro?"
Reminds me. I was trying to find a small town called Bree in the county Wexford years ago. Found a farmer herding cows along the road and asked him, "Do you know the way to Bree?"
"Yes," he replied and walked on down the road!!! :D

LOL Joe, another classic is the reply to a question on directions ''Well if I was you, I wouldn't start from here.''

I often use the train. Taxi from airport to station, train to Silves then taxi from there. A bus meets most trains at Silves and takes you down to the taxi rank or it's a ten minute walk. Not the quickest way but pleasant, especially if there's a bar on board.

you'll have to get a taxi to faro, and then you either can get a bus or the train, but remember that public transport in portugal don't usually have air con.

i would rather get a taxi from the airport to my destination, than endure 2 or 3 hours to a oven hot train or bus just to save a few euros, but it's your choice anyway....
