Hi,
Does anybody know where I could hire Quad bikes from?

I would suggest you try Motorent on the outbound road (last shop on the right) or possibly AngelPilot in Lagoa opposite the fatacil.

On the subject of quad bikes.... does any one know where you can legally ride them? I presume if they're taxed etc then its ok on public roads as there are a few that zoom around CVO, but if you want to take them 'off road' can you just do that wherever you see what looks like waste or scrub land?

Oh. dear it seems that once again we import the anti social behaviour that annoys so many of us .
Just think of those who live near that peice of " scrub land ".
Would you want you peace disturbed !!!

TBBR & Eco/Spider so quick to judge aren't you! For your information I posted a topic on here about the anti social behaviour of some football fans but got put down very quickly as a killjoy or spoilsport so dont think for one minute I had any intention of being antisocial. I have only ever been on a quad bike once in my entire life and that was a supervised trail on a farmers field/woodland up in Scotland so I was merely asking if people knew where you could do this sort of thing without disturbing other people or wildlife!! So before you go casting aspertions (anti social bunch of t*****s) as to what sort of people ride these things, think twice thankyou.

Oh so sorry!! I'll try to be more like you and think only pure and good thoughts all the time! And i'll try so hard to judge a person so quickly in only two posts and resort to name calling. How mature. Oh sorry, I'm judging wether you must be mature or not in only two posts how sillyof me. Perhaps you are a nice person but just quick to jump the gun - who knows?

I am not condoning this kind of activity as I hate it when in the UK you can't ride on a bridleway because quad bikes have used them and made them so deep and muddy that it is a danger to horses. But...between Silves and the Monchique mountains there is an organised quad bike place that takes about 7 bikes out across dirt tracks. I could try and find out who they are and a phone number if you wish, just promise me you wont go making too much noise and pollution......
