I'm afraid we're all hoping it is true - sorry
We are so desperate for rain, as you will see when you get here - although it's probably too little too late.

Oh well, we'll have to eat, drink and try to be happy. What bar serves the cheapest and best beer?

I appreciate what you're saying, but I've paid for a holiday in the sun as we don't see much of it in Wales! Never mind, as long as them sardines are on the 'barbies' and the Mateus Rose is chilled.

If it does rain whilst you are here it is unlikely to last very long. There has only been the odd shower here for months now. Before I moved here it rained every time I came here on holiday - but usually never for more than a few hours during the entire time, so it never spoilt the holiday.

Metcheck are good for forecasting but their GFS charts are not friendly on the eye. Check out this precipitation chart from a very good Italian weather site. Click navigation and step through the next 180 hours. Wednesday midday through Thursday looks promising for rain. The weekend in the sourthern half of the UK looks like a washout! Mike, Chislehurst

Sorry Ellie, been a bit of a day! If you click to get the screen up then look at the top of the chart and you see on the left when the forecast was made and on the right the the forecast time (all in white). Click "navigazioni" (spelling) and the forecast for the next 180 hours loads up. Then click the first > for the first period and click again for the next and so on. It still looks like the Southern half of the UK is in for a soaking Friday pm and Saturday so cutting grass tomorrow. Hope this helps. Any probs PM me. Mike, Chislehurst
