For all sorts of reasons I haven't been on the site for a very long time and am now back! I hope someone remembers me?! The messages have exploded and there are many different peeps - still a lot of those "guests" ones though ... why haven't you all registered yet then ...?

The one message I like, is that the new building by the ice-cream shop should be purchased by us peeps! I agree with Maddie (I think it was Maddie!) that they shouldn't already be owners or rich!! I fit into both those categories!

From what's written, it looks like the weather is unsettled again - is that right? The temperature in the shop looks good though! My friends are there at the mo - first timers and I said it would be lovely! I've given them a long list of bars/restaurants etc. Talking of which - how are things at the Jailhouse? Casa Algarvia - I would kill for a house dessert at the mo! Danny and Sarah - how's L'Oranga?

I see Carvoeiro Sol got a new award - fully justified in my opinion, we've had really good stays there, the winter rates are so cheap! Oh how I'd like to be sat on the balcony watching the sea and the world go by with a glass of wine in my hand (and the rest of the bottle on the table!!)

Steen - thank you for the emails reminding us of the newsletter. I'd really like to be in Portugal when the footy's on! As I'm a girl (girl .. who am I kidding??!!) my friends think I'm mad!

As it is late - although I wouldn't think it was if I was in Carvoeiro - I'd better go and get my beauty sleep! Much needed these days!!

Welcome back - it has been a while. Have you spotted that this forum has started to take a life of it's own while you have been "away". Each fortnight one subject appears to be completely taken over at random as some sort of regulars rambling spot - and no matter how hard I tried to desist in the early days, I have been sucked right in. Anyway Steen seem overall to be tolerating us - Good Man - although he did lock up one
but I certainly don't blame him for that!

How jealous am I that you're off to Carvoeiro!! When you go to the ice-cream shop have a lemon and sugar pancake for me! Say hi to them from me - when we are at the Sol in February, my husband always went there to get me a pancake when I had the urge (to eat a pancake that is!!), and it was usually twice a day!! As for icecream - anything but chocolate or coffee! Give us a wave on the webcam!
