It all depends on where you go - Gambrinus has qoted from what I think is regarded as a decent restaurant close by - in the more cheap and cheerful places - particularly a little away from the cost we would expect to feed up to 4 people in similar fashion for the prices quoted before.
You pays yer money and you takes yer choice
One great thing about the Algarve generally is that eating out is a way of life and there are more than enough places to suit every tast and every budget from the Casas do Pasto (3 course meal - set menu for about 5 to 6 euro each) to the top end speciality places with loads in between.
Its been said here before that Portugal is about the cheapest country in Europe for dining out and my modest experience leads me to agree.
Enjoy

considering that a kilo of clams bought from the market or a fish shop costs around 25 euros and squid is between 7 and 10 euros, I don't think it is too expensive

We recently went to the Piri Piri restaraunt in Lagos for 20euros for the 2 of us
carafe house wine
starter x 2
main meals x2
dessert x2
coffee x 2
The meal was delicious
another evening a lovely restaurant overlooking the sea...(well in theory it was dark)
28euros
just 2 courses, wine and drink.

Check out the menu here at this little place in Benagil - a little up the road from CVO - with fairly typical prices.

O Jardim do Farol and La Bella Napoli near Rocha Brava are quite reasonable especially La Bella Napoli.
(What is the name of the head man there? Lovely chap, will make you feel right at home. With a niceley placed smile, you may even qualify for a little complimentary almond liqueur to keep you warm on the way back to your digs.)
