Is it better to take the 125 or IP1 to Albufeira then on to Carvoeiro. or isnt it much difference.I shall be arriving in Faro about 19:00 hrs end of this month.

For a run from the airport to CVO I would use the A22 (IP1) rather than the 125 at any time of the day - (if it were say Albufeira or nearer to Faro then the 125 would be OK)
