We stayed at home - not in the mood! There were quite a lot of fireworks near us and we heard our (Portuguese) neighbour's party break up about 4 this morning!

If we had gone out we would probably have gone to Cheers.

oh, and I hear there was a peroxide blonde old bloke on cvo beach last night in a suit the design of a backgammon board cuddling an inflatable christmas tree and a champagne bottle

Hi Tricky, happy new year!

Had a quiet evening over at my rents with my gf and a few friends, 4-course meal, sparklers and champagne at midnight, rock n' roll untill 2:30 in the morning

I had a very quiet one at home (won't bore with the details) but I did hear the fireworks that were going off at midnight for over half an hour all around us! Sounds like many were having a good night!

I think New Year's resolution will have to be:
must get out more! (with or without husband and definitely without children!)
