Hi widge,
I think the resort you are talking about is at this link. I saw it advertised in Sunday times last week. As it said a new development in Carvoeiro being built it immediately caught my attention so had to take a look!
all info re buying etc is on the website.
regards
Carolyn

It can't be in CVO -- the promotional literature says itis only 30 minutes from Faro airport
My fastest time is 45 minutes door to doorand that was at night!!
Or is it so exclusive (i.e. expensive) that all clients get helicopter tranfers -- Oh dear they have forgotten to include a helipad in their plans
Or are they turning one of the fairways into a landing strip? If so look out for more news from roy4eyes airways
Cynical? Me? Never!!

With the new speed cameras in operation along the Via do Infante, there is no way anybody can legally make it under 45 mins, not that I have ever made it in less time

What flipping speed cameras!!! One of the joys of driving in the Algarve (if you can call it that!) is the lack of speed bumps and speed cameras. Mike,Chislehurst.

Haha Mike - don't worry... we'll all visit you when you're banged up in the slammer for speeding!

No, unfortunatly I am not - they are there, but they are stationary and only turned on if the police are conducting a traffic surveillance.
Apparently, they have been mounted behind the large signs - a colleague of mine has a detector in his car and it spiked last week on his way back from Tavira - the police were a little further ahead pulling people onto the parking by the side.
The same has been reported from the A2 motorway to Lisbon, the traps are located before the tolls at Messines where you are (after you have paid the toll) pulled over and fined on the spot.

Thanks for the warning!
So you are not likely to get a fine through the post then, just pulled over? I ask because my husband went to the airport and back this morning and he didn't seem to take very long! I'd better warn him for the future.........
