I recently acquired a pretty male cat which I found living rough near the Vale de Milho restaurant. It followed me home after I had been feeding it for a couple of days. It is white with blue eyes and a tail with yellow rings.

It enjoyed a ride in the car to the vet who said that it was about 5 months old.

It is not chipped ungfortunately but it has two collars and was clearly somebody's pet. It is loving and domesticated and even tolerates being licked by our Golden Retriever.

I can't keep it because my wife is allergic to cats and if possible I would like to return it to its owner. If anyone has any information about possible owners could they contact me by pm or on 964803521

I once read somewhere that in the UK there are 5 million cats . . . . and 7 million cat owners! :)

can't you just keep feeding it and make it live outside? They don't mind living outside, ask my three

The cat was so pretty and affectionate that I felt sure that his owner would be missing him and I wanted them to get him back if possible. Also I had to go to Lisbon for a major operation and this would have added to the problems of looking after him.

However as befits the festive season there was a happy ending and he now has a new permanent home in CVO with a young couple who also have 2 dogs and another cat.
