Can anyone suggest any nice lakes and river's that allow canoeing in the area?

There are organised canoeing trips on the Rio Arade between Portimao and Silves and there is canoeing on the Barragem (reservoir) d'Arade.

Don't have any detais but this might be a help to get you started.

I did hear that there is a lake in the Monchique area that has water sports, but I don't have any other info on it. I am sure someone on the forum will know. Dave.
