the better living in portugal exhibition on 16 17 th oct at the site of the annueal sardine festival....it reallly is very good indeed..entrance free.

the B L I P ( better living in portugal ) exhibition ,organized by AFPOP is one of the most complete exhibitions held in the Algarve.
focused on the residents ( but portuguese very welcome ) here you can find everything you can think of in and around your home .
for the 3rd year running this year for the first time in Portimão on the big exhibition grounds just outside town near Cardosas.
the first 2 years were held in Silves but was getting too small, I recon there will be around 200 stands with an enormous variety of goods and services.
A must !!! 16th and 17th October...

It made Fatacil look boring...but I must admit its not the same sort of exhibition really....but anyway it's much better...

Is it just me then ???

I found everything at the last BLIP show to be high quality but even higher price - way beyond our modest budget and we shall give it a miss (we went last year as it was our first year in the Algarve and we thought it would be helpful).

However well organised or presented - high prices are still high prices

Well actually, falcon, I am a member but I posted under ‘anon.’ – not simply as another guest, if there is a difference (?) perhaps it should have been ‘anon member’ – because I am interested to hear what other members thought of it, without being misinterpreted. I know who afpop are although I am not a member of the association, and I am sorry but I presumed you didn’t.
So falcon, I am now sold on the idea; and I will see you there. Sat or Sun ??
