As it;s virtually impossible for regualr hard working, tax paying UK residents to get dental treatment on the NHS in the UK, then it is not really an issue if you lose that "privalege" when you get your residencia here. The fact is that dental treatment here is a fraction of the cost of equivalent treatment in the UK. So get you teeth fixed here when you come on holiday and save a fortune.

example. Two teeth major root canal jobs. Three one hour sessions to complete the job (lovely way to spend your holiday). Price with American dentist in Laoga just over 300 euros. Price in UK nearer 500 pounds.

Friends was over a couple of weeks ago had a crown come loose. To remove, modify and refit the crown, and do another filling. One hour and exactly 100 euros.

Must eat more toffees, could save a small fortune!

That is good to know. I have been unable to get the work completed that I have needed on the NHS, I am still waiting and at this rate it could take years. I was wondering how much it would cost in Portugal as I'm going to have to have the rest of the work carried out there anyway as we're moving soon.
