if like me you are always stuck trying to find carbon copy locks to replace ones that jam and get stuck on doors here...then there is a good place in Portimao called Gloria and Silvestre near the millstone on Portimao walkway.
ithis is a real saving as it is allways hard to find excact matches for locks here as is often the case it means having to rechissel doors, screws that dont match up...the place is very good indeed.

Please be assured that I was not reacting to what you said.
My only concern was that the undoubted usefulness of the shop was not overlooked by discussion about whether or not the owner was advertising. The lighter stuff on this site is interesting and entertaining but if you have a villa here as a resident or visitor good practical advice is worth hearing about.

just because someone recommends a shop which I did ...doesnt mean that I or anyone else is the owner!!!and no there was no advertising merely the passing on of a good source of replacement parts..which if you have ever havehad to replace a lock here in hte Algarve and wandered as i have into shop after shop after shop ..you may well find such information is very handyand saves much time and money

I was conflicted about deleting the post when I saw it but decided not to - this is an information forum after all. I would have preferred if it came from a registered user (credibility and all), but hey...
