Regrettably some fires have broken out again in Algarve. There has been a large fire that took 200 bombeiros 2 days to control near Tavira and yesteday fire broke out near Silves in two places, near the reservoir and behind the castle in a westerly direction. Both under control quite quickly.

The Tavira one was accidentally caused by some one welding but the Silves outbreaks are unknown origin at this stage.

Fingers crossed for this year.

Oh no, please not again, I do hope they don't start up again like last year. Lets hope all that was talked about and learned from last years fires, will help with this year if they start up again.
The Algarve does not need this as it will only put people off again.
