Take aways - awful or fantastic ?
Take aways - awful or fantastic ?
Personally I do not fancy the idea of takeaways because most of the fun is in the eating out in different surroundings and having a freshly cooked meal, served probably with a nice glass or three of wine and often in company. The very thought of 3 courses served all together at less than optimum temperature, albeit that microwaves are wonderful gadgets, with soggy salad and mushy vegetables is totally off-putting when eaten at home with only your partner or the tele for company.
However some of our friends say they haver had excellent meals this way.

We enjoyed a number of takeaways during the 1st lockdown last year. No mushy vegetables or soggy salad! Food was mostly piping hot, either delivered or collected. One particular restaurant the food was plated up using their own crockery & serving dishes, which we returned the following day. it’s not the same as eating out but we wanted to support the local restaurants during these difficult times. Wish we were there now!
