Not used to the local beaches being so busy, went up the West Coast on traffic free roads and discovered this lovely family friendly beach between two cliffs, 15 minutes north of Aljezur. It is very flat and goes out for a long way at low tide. Bordered by a river that goes up to the pretty village good cafe - Bar de Praia overlooking the beach serves tasty tapas. You can also watch the surfing schools try and tame the waves.
