Where Can I buy Fireworks?

Coming out to Portugal for Dad's 60th and would really love to get one of the "all in one" firework sets where you only light it once and get a whole display.
I obviously cannot bring these out with me-does anyone know where I can get them on the Algarve?
Thanks for your help.

I am not sure you are allowed to purchase fireworks in Portugal unless you have a licence.
I am pretty certain there are restictions as to when and where fireworks can be set off - after the fires of last summer you may well be imprisoned if you set off fireworks in the middle of summer.

I did think there may be restrictions and I would never want to see the fires we had last year again.
We have a house out there and a safe area to let the firworks off but looks like I will have to think of an alternative.
Thanks for the advice.

Alternative: Why don't you try to get (f.e. 60)helium filled balloons; put a tag with a return address on it and maybe you get an answer where they have landed. (I don't know if you can get hold of them in Portugal)

If your trip is at the end of August ( I think the last sunday of the month) why not go to the square when they have the festival there. When i was there last time they had a wonderful firework display. Im sure someone here will be able to give you the exact date

Unfortunately it is next weekend!
Ballons sound a good idea-problem is how to find them......
