Postcard from CVO

Just returned from a fantastic long weekend in CVO, but not without incident! We arrived on Thursday just in time to watch England v Portugal
but although we lost ,the atmosphere in the square was something we'd never seen before, the partying by the Portugese AND English went on until the early hours, it didn't seem to matter who'd won!
On the recommendation of many forum members, we visited L'Orange
for a truly memorable meal, but it was a good job we had booked prior to leaving the UK, We rounded the weekend off (or so we thought) with lunch at Caniearos Beach on Sunday, However, when we reached Faro Airport, we were delayed by six hours and then bussed to the Ria Park
(5 star) Hotel in Vale Do Lobo for the night - A bit of a pain but we'd never been to Vale Do Lobo so it was interesting to discover that we don't ever want to go back again!!. For people going out this week - it was VERY HOT, even the portugese were complaining!! (didn't bother us though)
Wish you would have been there
