We booked a villa last September in good faith and have now been told that it's un available! Obviously we have flights booked but no accom I don't suppose anybody could help? We are looking for a villa with private pool, walking distance to Carvoeiro, 4 bedrooms arriving 8 August for 2 weeks. Any help or pointing in the right direction would be greatly appreciated.

Also have you tried Owners direct, you can filter what you need. I've just had a look for you and there seems to be quite a few

I think it is terrible that people are let down at short notice & left to look for alternative places which they may have to pay more for as they are booking nearer to the departure date.

Were these villas booked through an agency or web site? If yes can you tell us the names to prevent others from suffering in the same way.

Just supporting piggywiddens93 suggestion of help. I'm sure owners direct are good too but I've never used them.

Yes honestly only helping I certainly have no connection or (affinity !!!!) with the a fore mentioned company.

We were just lucky to have found somewhere else at short notice and thought it might help.

We have been going to the same villa for the last 14 years and we book it for the same 2 weeks as soon as we get home - so been booked since last August. Then got an email from owner saying he had sold it and the new owners had no interest in having it as a holiday let. Just one of those things I guess

Andy was merely replying in kind to a comment made about one of his posts - which seems to have now disappeared and was presumably therefore deemed to have been advertising!

Affinity have nothing and everything booked up that we've tried once we eventually get our deposit back I will be letting everybody know who NOT to book with!!
