Does any1 know of a good reliable company that does pool repairs? Is it possible to have repairs done to steps whilst pool is still full? Thnx for any help.

If you need to do significant repairs to cement and tiled steps you will almost definitely have to drain your pool down to below the lowest level of works.

You need to ensure that whichever builder you choose is experienced in pool renovation.

Emptying and refilling your pool needn't cost a fortune. Using common sense and a submersible pump you can empty the pool in stages yourself, and in spite to advice to the contrary, re-filling from the mains need not be the most expensive re-fill option

There's a business idea Bruce! buy an old tanker and drain the pool and hold the water whilst they do the repairs!

Yes we too would recommend Piscinas Oceanos - Jose Manuel did an excellent repair job for us last year at a reasonable price.

Don't know where the idea of another pump comes from - clearly hasn't got a clue of pools! You don't need another pump to empty the pool - your own pool pump and valve system can be turned to "waste" and the water pumped out to the drains - this is what you do when you back-wash the filter.

Dont be such a smartarse....in some circumstances the backwash doesnt always pump out into the drains, therefore a submersible pump and a long hose becomes necessary!

Where does the water go when you backwash? It has to go somewhere and cannot go back into the pool!
