We have been visiting the sand sculpture for many years and think it is absolutely brilliant, however last year it seemed that they had reused many of the sculptures from the year before. just wonder if any one who goes every year has visited yet and have found it to be the same ? Thinking if it is very similar (especially as the theme is MUSIC II - it was MUSIC a couple of years ago, that we might visit at night time in stead so that it is a little different

We used to go about an hour before sunset. See it in daylight, have a snack and then go round again at night.

They have been doing this for the last 3 or 4 years, best to go only once every 5 years now, or at least part is the same as the couple of years before.

Thanks for that, we had noticed it happening more each year, will probably give it a miss this year.

I remember posting in the past about the re-use of previous year's sculptures. I think we've seen the same Elvis and Michael Jackson sculptures about three times in various themes.
They had a "History of the World" theme with excellent displays of the pyramids, Aztec temples, the Taj Mahal, etc. Then some of these turned up a year later in a differently named exhibition (think it might have been called "Discoveries").
We went last year, but this year it began the weekend after we travelled home in May. Don't think we'll bother in September. Like Jaylay says, may be better skipping a couple of years.
