We are coming to Carvoeiro on 26th june for 1 week. Can anyone reccomend a taxi service to pick 7 adults and 3 kids (1 year old, 2.5 year old and a 6 month old) from faro airport,imsure they are all the same or do you think we would be able to get one there and then, its a normal flight time so wont be arriving in the early am etc. thanks in advance

a few people I know swear by travel republic...but if you are staying on a resort they usually have their own mini buses which you can book

There isn't a lot to choose, they all offer a pretty good service, but some are a lot cheaper than others! mytransfer.pt is the company Greenbus, who do al the actual carrying for several companies- resorthoppa, travelextras, a2b etc. They charge a standard €10 pp each way. For this number of people you would get a single bus for you so there wouldn't be any waiting.

Pato, regarding the Turkish situation it is still under review so far as I know. No more fraud but some are still waiting for repayment.

It was thought it only affected Turkey (first reported on my forum) but it soon became clear it went further afield.

never had to sort a transfer as felt it is cheaper to rent a car. However never more than 4 adults. Only observation regarding the children, is whether mini buses would have suitable restraints. Would think you should double check when booking. Just a thought.

ALL of the minibus companies supply car seats for children - as long as you tell them!
