Hottest January day ever in CVO ?

Just checked the thermometer in the sun by the pool and it registered 40.7c !!

What is the temp in the shade?
We had 30 plus in the sun afew weeks ago when the real air temp was 15/18 degrees.

High temperatures?? Since we got home from CVO on 9 January, we haven't seen any dry pavements etc. Has rained every day! And sitting watching Chelsea v Stoke, I can see that the wind has got up again as the hedge is taking a battering. Roll on April for our next visit!!!!

It's been a scorcher, bad day to clear out the shed, go to the tip etc.
Did manage a chilled glass of Blanc de Noir at 3pm !
