As far as I know there are no restrictions. When I lived abroad my mum regularly brought me lots of goodies from UK bacon, pies, cheese, pate, sauce mixes, bisto, oxo, biscuits etc She carried fresh items as hand luggage in a cool bag. The only time there were problems was during the foot and mouth outbreak, on a pre Xmas visit she had everything taken from her even 12 choc figures which were for my Xmas tree !!

Am very certain no Dairie products are allowed i.e. meat, cheese, milk.
They say that meat was the cause of the last outbreak brought into the UK.
My husband and I don't worry about bringing goods into CVO as the SUPERmarket on the way in to CVO is fantastic, and we have been coming to Palm Gardens for over 14 years.
