My husband and I are coming to Carvoerio in Jan for 3 months. My husband is currently on Warfarine for a DVT and has been advised to either buy a tester to seek a local Doctor who offers the check he needs. Any ideas anybody, please. If anybody recommends a Dr, do you know the costs involved and would he have to register?

Ok, that was question one. Q2. Is there a good gym anywhere near. I need crosstrainer, cycles, weights etc.,

Hi Sue, can't' help with Q1, sorry. but there are two fairly decent gym's in Carvoeiro. One is at Lagoa, in the building upstairs opposite the Facatil. 15 euro's a week. The other is at the Carvoeiro Tennis Club on the way to Sesmarais, I think its 8 euro's a session with some discount for multiple use (it has just been refurbished looks okay) The gym at Lagoa also does daily yoga sessions.
