Just a quick posting before we leave for Carvoeiro tomorrow morning. Can anybody please tell me if car parking meters are in operation in the town at the moment.

Not meters, but pay n display. Only on the first part of the "out road". They are now operational, and quite well signposted.

Plenty of FREE spaces up the hill towards Monte Dourado, or a short walk along the out road, or plenty more up by Algar Seco etc etc.

You are warned, be very careful where you park, the GNR must have bought a new supply of wheel clamps and were having a field day yesterday evening.
