Hi all coming out on Sunday April 7th and looking for a cake for our daughters 17th birthday on monday 8th any suggestions would be appreciated .Dont know If there are any bakery shops nearby I think the big intermarche at lagoa has a baker shop inside but ideal if there's anything in carvoeiro .

Fabrica Velha, at the Lagoa end of the Carvoeiro "in road" do excellent birthday cakes made to your requirements. They are also a genuine bakery and in my view a great asset to the village.

I second that. We got a lovely birthday cake there for my husband in December. Lovely man who deserves the business.

I can certainly endorse the previous recommendations of Pastelaria Fabrica Velha on the Carvoeiro in road. We have had a cake made there for the last two years for our granddaughter's second (Hello Kitty cake) and third (Tinkerbell cake) birthdays, and they were delicious. Although I imagine your daughter will have outgrown these characters, it does show you that they will make cakes to order. The staff are very pleasant as well.
