Costa del Sol to Oporto

I started looking for advice on the best way to get to Oporto from the Costa del Sol and ended up enjoying the info about Carvoeiro. So much that I've just booked a few days in August to revist the place, as the last time I was there must be fifteen years ago I should think. Long overdue...

Anyway, back to the original reason. My footie team Malaga is playing Boavista of Oporto next week in the return leg of the UEFA cup quarter final and there are a bunch of us travelling up there by car. The route from Sevilla to the Algarve is quite good now I believe and I am wondering if it would be quicker and easier (all motorway?) to go via the Algarve or strike north from Sevilla and cut across that way? Any help much appreciated and I look forward to munching sardines in the square again very soon! :D

Hi

Log onto multimap.com - will provide you with the route that you require!

Good luck with the football - I'm hoping that Wales qualify for Euro 2004 in PORTUGAL. :D

The best way must be Seville, continue along the Algarve and up the new motorway to Lisbon and then on up to Porto. It is motorway all the way more or less. Have your toll money ready!

I recently did Carvoeiro to Guarda in about 6 hours and that includes a fair bit of non motorway driving.

Sounds like an adventure but I fancy Boavista!!
