Just Back from another visit to Carvoeiro

Just back from another visit to the beautiful town of Carvoeiro.
It gets better each visit and it's great to meet new and old friends each time.
The owners & staff of the various establishments makes one very welcome.
I also visited Vilamoura this trip and in my opinion the restaurants are as good if not better in Carvoeiro.
Only negative is the situation with the tolls, the 125 was busy for the end of September and although i have no problems using it when on holiday
I like to use the A22 when returning to the airport.
The main issue I have is if you hire a car you cannot pay until 2 days have passed and also there may be outstanding tolls
from a previous hire. Is it possible to identify ones tolls and pay for them specifically ?
Other than the above minor issue I am already planning my next visit and would like to thank all those that made this visit special.

Pleased to hear that you had a good time. The tolls thing has been criticised to within an inch of it's life on this forum so your exasperation is understandable.

Good to hear that Carvoeiro restaurants stand comparison with Vilamoura.

Hope you return next year :D :D

I think the restraunts in Carvoeiro were much better than V.M; more relaxed and a damned lot cheaper. The only time I would eat in V.M. would be when I've cooked it myself.
Carvoeiro rules. :D :D

Fim do Mundo, one of my all time favourites in the Algarve - have known Jo for a few years, always have a goods night Craic with her - must be a meat lover to eat there though. 8) 8)

We go to Fim do mundo a lot, and I agree Sam, you do need to like Meat. Even my two 18 year olds have struggled with the mixed grill :D
Jo's new bar (3 monkeys) is lovely too.

I think the better restaurants in Vilamoura are significantly better than the equivelant restaurants in Carvoeiro. Uniko and Akvavit are miles ahead of anything Carvoeiro has.
