Has anybody used the public bus service from Faro airport to Lagoa bus station?
How frequent is it, and what's the cost?

Put it this way Bruce, I think you would find it easier to go from your home in Norfolk to Southend airport
The journey you are requesting advice on needs numerous changes, onto services which at the best are infrequent, and use the dreaded EN125, think I will say no more.
If times are so hard for you that you need to consider this means of transport, I take it I will not be getting a beer from you next time we meet

No!! Our son and his girlfriend are coming out the day before us in September. He cant afford to hire a car, and doesnt want to pay 50 or 60 euro for a transfer......
So what are you, Bill or the girls doing on Saturday 29th of Sept.......there's an imperial in it

The train might be a better option if you can get a bus into Faro.

Sorry Bruce Bill has got a bone in his leg, that day
Forget any public transport to Carvoeiro, even worse connections on a non weekday, suggest you contact one of the Airport transport companies, several have been mentioned on the forum , not sure what the names of the current ones are, they seem to be constantly changing.
The train is not a realistic option either, would mean bus to faro station and taxi from either Estombar or Silves, again weekend service is even worse than that workday one.
Sure Kate has had this problem before, if not ask Easygo, think they provide various transfer services.(
mail@easygo-holidays.pt)
resorthopper, mentioned on forum recently might be an option.
