Noticed yesterday that the limit for purchases at faro airport has been reduced to just 4 sleeves ( 800 cgs ) new EU rules ??
Of no interest o us but for those who used to stuff their hand luggage with as much as they could ,bad news

Probably to make room in the overhead lockers. Everyone seems to take hand luggage only these days.

One budget airline is already trialling a charge for carry on baggage over a certain size. from £10 each way.
Where one goes expect the rest to follow

yes read that earlier this week, is it Wizzair? What a joke, they'll grab you for any penny in a bit, maybe Michael O'leary's charge for going to the loo will soon become reality & buy your own loo paper will be next.

Just happened to be checking through prices of flights for Sept and Jet2 are charging £208.99 one way from Manc to Faro on 13th Sept + any hold baggage, how ridiculous is that. Other airlines, Monarch, Easyjet, Ryanair aint much different, looks like cheap flights are a thing of the past.

there is no limit if its fro personal use,it does state that on the form from customs,800 cigs&either 1 or 2kg of tobacco or unlimited amount as long as its for personal use.my friend brings back 3,000 cigs back on his bi-anual hols&gets stopped 90% of the time&has a big arguement with the customs but stands his ground&has never had any confiscated.
