The fish market (+ general food market) in Lagoa is much better and much cheaper - open every day - shuts around midday or when everything is gone.

Maybe so, but not much help if you are staying in CVO without a car - anyone else help?

Thanks to all. I got some terrific Sea Bass which I,m just tucking into. Thanks for the tip regarding Lagoa. I have a car here so will venture there next time.
