Hi - wonder if anyone could help with soem advice pls? We are looking at renting a villa for a holiday in an area called Quinta Do Salicos 5 mins from Carvoeiro....does anyone know anything about Quinta Do Salicos?

Never heard of it.....are you sure that is an area, or just the name of the villa??

This is taken from the description off the villa website..."This property is a luxury 3 bedroom villa on Quinta do Salicos, 5 minutes drive from Carvoeiro"

Are you sure it's not Quinta dos Calicos which is near Albufeira ?

I think you need to try quinta dos salicos and search google maps you will find it there just outside carvoeiro...

Take the road from Poço Partido to Benagil, past Nuno's restaurant and after a right-hand bend you will come to a left fork. Take this and the urbanicao is on your right.
Lovely houses but a bit quiet and 10 minutes drive to anywhere.

A very nice upmarket estate of detached houses, mainly residential rather than holiday rental. Will be pretty quiet but nothing on the complex apart from houses. There are restaurants a few minutes drive away but unless you are going to spend a relaxing time by the pool and use taxis for shopping etc you would need a car.
