It may look that way Michael, but there is nothing personal in Julia and I returning to the bosom of our children for Christmas, and not returning until January the 5th.
(That's code for the buggers insisting that we go home and provide the "proper family Christmas" they are used to........it's also code for, "That way, Mum and Dad pay!")

About time you "man'd" up and faced your responsibility - leaving them poor kids on their own whist you go frollicking off into the sunshine!

Thought you could get jailed for leaving your 'kid's home alone?

Hope you have a lovely time, wish we were there, rather than the -3 degrees it is in snowy cheshire.
Happy Christmas, to all of you. x

Your idea worked Michael - nobody turned up
The toast to 'Absent Friends' was well received nonetheless
