We have just looked at the Tivoli website which confirms that the Tivoli Carvoeiro will close from Sun 13th November until 1st March 2012.
Cannot wait until it re-opens to have drinks on the terrace.

We were told when we last visited in October that they were not expecting to have any of the programmed refurbishments, so suspect it is the general downturn of trade.

Alot of businesses, especially bars, have already closed down for the winter, and dont expect to open again before March. The Round-Up closed last night.
Likewise several restaurants, some that dont usually close, are taking winter, and re-furbishment breaks this winter.

It will hopefully mean more trade for the ones remaining open.....but I suspect that the village will be quieter this winter.
