What could you buy with 1 million euros?

.... well I'll tell you.... The Round Up Bar, Ice Cream Parlour and the Restaurant next door.
I was speaking to big Will and he told me he was selling up and moving on after 16 years in the area. Not that I have that kind of money, but I was wondering what kind of return you'd get on the bar and ice cream parlour, plus the rent from the restaurant. Answers on a postcard!

From memory Will has been " selling up " ever since we joined this forum.
If I was mad enough to buy it , I would get rid of the awfull exterior decoration , destroy the Karaoke machine and have live music every night.
Or I would by the Boteco and turn it into the best restaurant in Carvoeiro ,one where the food matches the location.

I must admit, that was what I thought also - the restaurant location is top notch, maybe make him an offer just for the restaurant only EMM?

He may take it if he's been waiting as long as you say.

You are spot on O Boteco is owned by Solferias...maybe they have got the name mixed up as the earlier post refers to the restaurant next door

The thing with the Round up is that the Round up is all about Big Will and if he goes the new owners will never have the same pull. Madness to buy it - and yes, he has been trying to sell it for yonks, I believe he has a sleeping partner as well.
Another condition of sale is that Liebre in Happy's (which is part of Round Up building) is allowed to stay on and continue to pay a peppercorn rent.

Big Willy is what makes the Round Up so popular (love it or loathe it), take him out of it & it's just another bar. The location's ok but no terrace.
O Boteco, what a waste of a fantastic loctaion. Many moons ago it used to be one of our favourites, that was in the days when the Mama of the house used to play the keyboard & sing, not too well but absolutely hysterical, & the food was really good & the staff friendly. Everything it's not now.

I saw Tevez sat on the bench outside Big Will's every night during the summer, obviously nothing changed when the season started
Love Big Will, it would be a great shame to see him leave. He stuffed my mates wide under his shirt a few weeks ago, she nearly died

Not sure what the restaurant next door is called... I was taking EMM's lead on that one... having far superior CVO knowledge than I. All I do know is that it never looked busy.
