making our second trip of the year out for last week in October,

algarvedriver.com seems to be getting great recommendations on here so i'm going to go with them this time around.

can anyone recommend which local golf courses are suitable for hackers like myself, i've played vale de milho a few times but plan on playing Silves (if its not too hard!)

if someone could organise nice sunshine for last week in October it would be sweet!

finally, are many of the restaurants still open in Oct (the ones in Benagil & porches ideally)

We plan to be there the same week, so I hope you do get the sun.

Silves is one of the least expensive courses so probably a good choice. Never yet found a course that isn't too hard

Pinta is near by and is good for all standards of golf.

Some may offer deals at that time of the year.

Sadly deals stop sometime between 01 and 30 September then go to full price

Costs nothing to ask though. Try the Golf Shop on the way into CVO.

cool, think i'll pop into the golf shop in carvoeiro, want to get an idea of what weather to be expecting before booking green fees so dont want to book on-line and end up playing in the rain (of course it wont be raining though!)

Don't believe the 'full price' bit, there are discuntos everywhere. The golf shop on the in road has special prices and even the map you get in Auto Jardin car hire was offering discounts. You should contact Mungos Golf Society as well, they have great discounts and are a lovely bunch of people
