Me again! Where are the best shops to look for mid range white china as I need to buy all the plates etc. I need something dishwasher safe.

If you intend to rent out your new villa then make sure you buy china and not pottery as the latter chips in no time. Most of the big supermarkets stock china at good prices, try Continente in Portimao.

Casa,Portimao on the retail park which also has Cand A, near Aqua shopping centre.

We got most of our stuff at Da Borla on Portimao Retail Park. They have a good range of plain crockery that you can buy individually which is handy for replacement.

As well as all of the others that have been mentioned there is also Makro that has a good range.

Yes you do need a card but you can get one here in the UK for free and use it anywhere that they have shops.

We were trying to find that shop when we went there but failed. Where is it? We went into the new retail park and no one had heard of it. We could not find anything on the plan. We then went to the old small retail
Park and could not find it there. At the time I think we were looking for garden furniture.

Da Borla is at the more mature retail park on the N-125, just past the hospital if you are heading east.
