Ryanair announced today that it will be starting a route from Manchester to Faro from the 11th April.
Whilst I dislike Ryanair, you sometimes cant beat the prices if you are flying without luggage. I feel lots of little trips to Carvoeiro happening

I just checked on ryanair website for mid may and the prices with add ons are not much different than Monarch. Its ok if you can fly any day then there are prices do work out cheaper.

Strange this topic is active, My son flew to Dublin with Ryanair yeasterday and sat next to a chap he sort of vaugly recognised, he thought it was Eddie Jordan, he spoke to the fellow passenger and after a while he asked why he recognised him, he turned out to be the owner of Ryanair, can't remember his name, my son said he was great company and explained he had been to a meeting in Manchester talking about new routes, he asked my son why he was going to Ireland and who he was visiting and if on the flight he had been treated OK! and he said yes, fine, didn't get any preferential treatment though.
