Any recommendations please. I see the power rating is typically less than 1000w. Are they that much more efficient than conventional electric heaters?

Useless bloody things. Use up loads of electric for no discernible difference in room temperature. I ended up using my air con to heat the place when it is cold which is not very economical but at least I didn't freeze.

They do take the chill off bedrooms, keep the door shut and when you go in you really notice the difference, we have a 500w and a 200w in a bedroom 5m x 4m ( stops that damp feeling and smell) but not usually much good in living space areas.

Thanks, we have a big log burner in the living area so would only need background heating.

I have to say that having the "correct" wafer heaters in each room made no significant difference to the warmth factor. Definitely not background heating. When I redecorate I shall be removing all 5 of them!

I agree, wafer heathers are a waste of time, and expensive running costs to boot.
