Pet hates....funny or otherwise
For me:
Whistling ! by others I mean....especially men..who insist on giving 'concerts' in supermarkets..and you can't get away from it!
Snakes/worms(hard to get away from in gardening

) anything slithery!
Pretentious people....like a woman in this village....a'real' Hyacinth Bucket...I feel like shouting at her, saying for gods sake be yourself!
The movement of 'Sloths'.....they really make my skin crawl!
Food not cooked properly...like 'Delia Smith's scrambled eggs'..they 'run ' off the plate!!!....errrr

Whoa Ellie, are you trying to inject some fun into this forum, because I'm not sure too much is allowed. Its been interesting watching Lucy
and Matt etc sparing, but I'm afraid I don't believe that anything is black or white, maybe its my age but my reason for being (can't spell raison detre') is to enjoy each day and make as many friends as possible.
As for the guest who thinks that anything non-serious should be confined to the jokes section - Get a life!
Anyway to your previous question, I hate:
Moths,
The song - high ho silver lining'
Salmon
people who say ' 24/7
Going for petrol.

1. TV news channel with story-of-the-day of how one of their own reporters pulled a stunt. (see today’s Sky News)
2. Salmon without my own (secret recipe) mustard sauce
3. Hi Ho Silver Lining with air guitar
4. Having to stand in line at a supermarket checkout with 2 items and the customer in front with 152 items doesn’t offer to let you go first.
5. Pathetic excuse when no excuse was needed.

What a good Idea Ellie
1) Dogs that should have their chuff stappled
2)Politicians that should have their mouths stappled
3)Traffic wardens who should have their pens shoved in their ear
4)Old farts that pull out in front of you forcing you to brake hard, and then speed along at 25mph
5)Junk mail
6)Junk food
7)Smokers.
8)Hypocracy of the church.
9)Moaning about the health service but never praising how hard the staff work.
10)Celebrities who are the only people allowed to shove things in room 101.
I think I have just vented my spleen

Hi Ellie. At last, an interesting topic. I've been cogitating on the subject of my pet hates while playing with my light-sabre in the Millenium Falcon, and have come up with five of my absolute top hates.
1. Funerals. I find them frightening (the very idea of encasement and burial). I also find they contain a good helping of hypocrisy, and an infuriating tendency to make heroes out of people just because they've snuffed it!
2. Immortality. The one prospect that makes death seem palatable.
3. Spiders. I hate the things. They terrify and revolt me.
4. New shoes. As Victor Meldrew once suggested in One Foot in the Grave, you might as well just stick a couple of razor blades down your socks.
5. Northerners. What is the point of these ghastly people? On second thoughts, I think Room 101 is too good for them!

…now that’s an interesting one, girl.
I like to do that: I think it cool to go round to the left and lean to the right. But to lean in the same direction is a def no no.

I like behaving badly with supermarket trolleys, and deliberately crashing into others. But I find Portuguese trolleys difficult to manoeuvre, as you can only steer with the front wheels
