Carvoeiro in Oct?

Apologies if I am posting in the wrong area, but it keeps telling me the the FAQ section is locked.
We've been to Carvoeiro 3 times for our annual vacation, always at the start of July. We have booked only flights for the October weekend, Sat 23 - 27th, and were wondering what would Carvoeiro be like at that time of year? I know its a lottery with the weather these days, but am presuming that the weather may still be in the early 20's. Would many of the restaurants be closed? Any help would be appreciated.

Monday and today we basked in 24 degrees of beautiful sunshine with clear blue skies. Tomorrow is due to be somewhat cloudy and Thursday onwards is forecast to be wet. By the 23rd it could have passed - be positive.

The restaurants in the main are still open and there's a good few people about - the end of this month usually heralds the end of season restaurant closing.

October is usually very pleasant - the crowds have gone and the weather is still warm-hot during the day - it starts to get cooler at night and eating outside becomes a bit marginal if you are cold blooded - 18-20C at 8pm if you are lucky.

Last year it was still 19C on my patio, at the 1st week of Nov, in the evening @ 8pm.

Many thanks for the quick replies. Looks like we will go back to Carvoeiro. Now to find somewhere to stay.
We have previously hired a villa, as there were always 2 families together. But this time its just 5 of us, so not too sure if we should book into a complex or try and get a villa for 4 nights. (Kids are 16, 14,12). As a complex, Monte Dourado seems to be the most central, where the kids can walk up and down to the town or beach. I know its on a hill, because twice, our villas have been up that direction with another mile added on. There does seem to be some other nice complexes coming up on the net and prices are very reasonable, but most are a taxiride away from the town. My predicament is the girls just want to chill out on the beach and top up their tans, but if the weather is not beach weather at that time, I'd be better off in a nice complex with a view, that may have a heated pool (maybe even an indoor one, in case the weather is terrible).
Oh, the joys of being the organiser on these trips!

I genuinely sympathise with anybody on holiday - but my garden needs it.

We moved here on June 24th and have spent €1,484.63 on water since then - bring on the rain (at night) :)

bruce - I'll stop, I promise, because as I look out the window at a clear blue sky - it's hard to imagine the forecast is as it is :D

The FAQ is for information only. It is locked so that it isn't clogged with comments. Just ask your question(s) via the rest of the forum and (as you have already seen) someone will reply.

We are there on the 17th Oct, it is usually one of our favourite months,
nice weather, no crowds and no booking at restaurants. My favourite sea to swim in, Benegil
(why is it always warmer than any other cove) is quiet. lets pray for sun
