Probably one of the best bars in Carvoeiro. However, there have been a few postings about changes there. Can someone tell me, is Murray and Hazel still there? Also, did Ivan ever come back from his trip home to Canada at the start of the year?

Have not seen any postings about the changes at Hemmingways,so I too would be intrested to know if Murray is still there I e-mailed him a few days ago and as yet have had no reply though that is not unusual ,could someone post a response Blue maybe?

Never really used Hemmingways, but a clue to the current owners comes in the form of footie matches being shown.

Last week when England played the Swiss, the match was on the TV outside Hways. The Scotland match was being shown inside.

We were in Oasis having dinner at the time.

Murray & Hazel still there but are heading home to UK. Sharon who has worked in Hemmi's for quite a while (with the lovely Pat) & her husband David are taking it on from the 1st October I think. Going to really miss Murray & Hazel but I'm sure Sharon & Dave are going to do a great job & it will remain one of the most popular bars in Carvoeiro.

Of course the Jocks were inside thats why there called sweatys it was bakeing in there us English folk were sitting outside being served by waiters one who is Scottish in a nice cool enviroment,just how it should be................

Blue yes it sad news that they are returning to UK, Julie and I will miss them will everyone be giving them a BIG send off we are coming over this Saturday for 2 weeks would love to send the mad mad Bugger off on a high.

emailed him today so will find out when the leaving do is..and a swift flight over

Apparently Murray now qualifies for Winter Fuel Allowance in the UK , hence the rush to return!

Anyhoos , will be over for the Hootenanie, to help Murray deplete his extensive Ruby Port Collection!
