We have some friends coming out with us in September and the husband will need a mobility scooter to get around with - one that can cope with the cvo hills! I have been given the details of David Player in Almancil (Wheeling around the Algarve) but not having much luck getting hold of him (no answer on phone or email). Does anyone else have a contact that might be able to help or know of anyone that would lend us one from 13th - 23rd September??

Try this

They are based near Odiaxere which is between Portimao and Lagos. Nice people - Chris and Prosper- I know them personally - used to be my neighbours.

I would ilike to see one that can cope with the CVO hills and calacadas pavements, it would have to have tracks like a tank and a motor to match.

- can you imagine how slippy Restaurant Hill would be after a bit of rain which may happen in September - not sure a mobility scooter could handle that - going up or down!
Don't want to put you off Alison - I suppose it depends where you are staying - have you booked yet - or do you own?

I'm going out in September Rich so thanks for putting the mockers on the weather
Actually September is my favourite time of the year - far less tourists and kids plus the weather is usually perfect and not the stifling heat of August
As for rain on Restaurant Hill Alison- just wait until it dries up - it doesn't usually take long.

All sorted thanks - followed up Cereza's lead with Algarve Mobility who were very helpful. Roll on September, our favourite time of year in cvo - sea warmed up for swimming, weather hot but not too hot for walking, playing tennis etc, crowds gone home.......can't wait!
