Reasonably good offer but for just 6 euros more my son and I can play the Oceanico Faldo (a superb course) with club hire and buggy included

We could both play Vilamoura Laguna for just 37 euros! It pays to look around.

Exactlt Graham......you would need to drop it vastly more for me to visit!

If you visit the Algarve as a regular golfer and want to play the bigger courses then maybe VDM is not for you but if like us you had a 9 and 12 year old vsiting both golf mad then a couple of hours on VDM was perfect.
We did take them to Morgago, It was too hot the courses too long for them and at that age all they wanted to do was drive the buggies.
For the holiday golfer looking for a break from sunbathing VDM at these new prices is good value and I hope they get more business.

We always play off scratch, maybe those who look down their noses a bit should do the same it puts a different complexion on the course.

I do and it is still poor.

I usually get up and do 9 holes at VDM once when at CVO. Just a pleasant round on my own, then by the time I've finished the family arrive and we have breakfast in the bar.

An enjoyable way to start the day!!!

I didn't say it was a bad course - just that Oceanico are great courses for the same money (or even less). My golf mad 10 year old would always pick Oceanico and has no problem playing 18 holes in the heat (in fact he walked 18 holes round the O'Connor yesterday and today). Horses for courses I suppose.

When I passed VDM last week I was surprised how dried up the course looked. I play bowls at Oceanico and that looks much greener. It has been very hot and dry lately.

Can you really play 18 holes at Oceanico for 25 euros ???

If you take your child, it can be 18.50 each at Laguna including buggy hire and free club hire.

Sorry I thought you were talking about the local Oceanico courses , there is more than enough golf locally without having to drive to Villamoura.

The Faldo is only 33 euros each. Still exceptional value.
