I'm looking for a painting of Carvoeiro sea, cliffs, boats etc. which seems to be very hard to find. I found one in the shop on in road one day but unfortunately it was sold and they never got any back in. I also tried their sister shop in Lagoa but they didn't have any either and can't seem to contact the artist. I know there's a small gallery in Carvoeiro but their prices are off the wall. Anyone know of good artists with reasonable prices? Thank you.

There is a very good shop in Lagos, just off the main square opposite a green tiled building.
The artist has an extensive selection of oils of the Algarve at very reasonable prices.
Closed at Lunchtimes.

We had one done privately by one of the guys that sell their wares in the Square. I can't remember his name! He has a 'walrus' style moustache and his studio is in Portimao. I realise that is not particularly helpful but we will be in town from next Thursday and I will find the name of the street in Portimao for you.
I took a series of photographs from which he painted a panorama of the beach and the cliffs - it is magnificent and it is the only one.

ONe of the waiters in the Grande cafe in the square is an artist , there are examples of his work on the walls.

Colombo's bar and restaurant by the taxi rank in the square has some lovely pictures hung on the walls inside by a local artist, you might like to go and look at those too.
