For the few of you who fly from Prestwick, I thought I would point out the the Faro-Prestwick leg (apart from the Sun pm flight) has been rescheduled from 1330 to 0645. Ouch! Not looking forward to my 0330 wake-up call. Plus the car hire has an out of hours charge to boot! Thank you Michael (O'Leary).

We normally use Drive4fun and as far as I remember they don't charge an "out of hours" fee

Unfortunately, it's the wrong way round. I have 6 hours and 45 minutes less in Portugal, which is a crying shame. However, being a positive person, the fact that I am going to Carvoeiro again for two weeks has me smiling.


The car hire out of hours thing wasn't a problem when I booked it, though it is now. A few years back, I did get a €20 charge for arriving after 20:00. Given that I was standing waiting on our bags at the carousel around 19:00 was a bit galling. I was convinced that the baggage handlers were in cahoots with the 'out-of-hours' car hire guys.
