Apologies if this has been raised before but I've only just become aware of it. The Visa Electron card is no longer Ryanair's nominal free to use card. In order to avoid their administration charge of £5.00 per person for each leg of the flight you must now use a prepaid Mastercard debit card. This may be useful - I will be looking in more detail over the next few days and will see what else I can turn up.

Indeed. My post was meant for the ordinary members of the forum. If I hear anything regarding helicopter transfers, piano shaped swimming pools etc., I will of course have my people talk to your people.

Destroyer - you missed my point as I am not in the business of paying extortionate prices for anything. However, I do subscribe to the belief that where something appears too good to be be true - it invariably is. Ryanair is one such example.

There are times when their fares are genuinely and unbelievably cheap - but once you decide to venture beyond Ireland/UK - with check-in bags -the 'catch-all' add-ons come into play. I recently ran a price comparison for Faro flights between EasyJet (Gatwick)/ Ryanair(Bournemouth)/Flybe (Southampton) and in the case of Ryanair - his £28 headline fare finished at £168 each - only one check in bag each. EasyJet from Gatwick was £114 each to include Speedy-Boarding.

I have come across a website called http://www.wegolo.co.uk
This is a flight finder for budget airlines that includes all additional charges and one checked bag in its comparison price, so hopefully would reveal all Ryanairs 'hidden' costs.
Havent used it in earnest yet, but seems like a good idea.

No Costs are hidden, before we press that button to confirm the booking the figures are there for anyone to see.

The difference between Ryan Air and some others is that they lead with a lower price to get you on the hook, but you do not have to accept.

It's the time it takes you to find out is the annoying part

Thats why the wegolo website look promising as they've apparently included everything

Just tried to find flights to Faro leaving on 19th April and returning on the 26th from the South of England - nothing, zilch

These are ryan air prices for a flight 16 april to 23 april 1 person it does not include carry on luggage , credit card fees which can be free if you have a mastercard prepaid or [£10 ] quick boarding ,insurance

but i can go for a week for £32.48 i got some flights last week to faro for £6 each way £12 total so what i can only carry one bag on to the airplane i will make do or i can pay extra

i say long live ryanair and the rest of the no frills airlines without them faro would be a very quiet and expensive airport

faro is already one of the most expensive places in europe to fly to
