Hello people, myself and my girlfriend are planning a two week visit to Carvoeiro on the date of 17th July to the 31st.
We are looking to do it on as small-a-budget as possible so we can take in a lot more of the Algarve.

I have been searching online for a few hours with links to hostels but so far, no joy. I was curious as to whether anyone could point me in the direction of affordable hostels, accommodation.
Luxuries is a minimal, all that we really require is warm water, a shower and a bed. And preferably a window lol.

Everything else is a bonus.

This will be our second visit to the wonderful town, but before we stayed in a villa and seeing none of us are rich it meant staying at the cost of many other things which we intend to do this time.

In memory I cannot recall any 'backpacker' hostels but I'm sure some good soul in the town compensates for such travellers.

If not, we will get another hotel but ideally, ideally a cheap, affordable hostel in which we can take in way more of the Portuguese custom is our aim.

Any help is much appreciated, thank you.

James,
Belfast, Ireland

Don't know of any hostels James but I did stay at the Baselli's Pensione in Carvoeiro and as I remember it wasnt expensive.Standing on the beach its high up on your left.You reach it by walking up estrada do farol and the first turning on your right.You follow this road up to it.I stayed there some time ago and had a window overlooking the beach.It was a very nice B&B.Always boiled eggs for breakfast and delicious marmalade which Mrs Baselli makes.Cant remember exact price but it was something like £20 a night.Good luck with your search.

Just had a look at the Hotel Sol near the beach but expensive.Over 1300 euros a week!!

Thanks for the swift reply. That sounds ideal, and I'll research that.
Much appreciated ;

If you go up the hill past O Boteco, there's a big house on the left at the bend that does rooms. I'll get the phone number when I'm walking past (assuming there's a break in the rain) :(

Stayed at the Solfeirias (hotel) about 3 years ago - it was cheap and in need of some TLC but perfectly adequate. The rooms came with a small screened off kitchenette. We had a room on the ground floor opening on to a grassed area where the pool was. I think we paid c£10 each per night in August.
