We are reviewing our choice of car hire companies and would like suggestions as to which one offers the best deals for those of us who make 4-6 visits/year average 3 weeks each visit.

Who gives loyalty discounts ?, airport pick up and drop off ( Not the greenhouse in P4 ).

Does not " invent " damage as with our current user we do NOT have to provide card details to cover the excess.

I have used autoalgarve for the last 6 yrs - usually the cheapest and gives excess included prices. www.autoalgarve.com - it is the greenhouse in P4 though. I have also used Interent but they tried the "damage on arrival" trick - fortunately I had been prewarned and had taken photos of the damage before we left and marked the yellow sheet with the damaged part.

We always support this website and use Algarvedriver, yes you have to leave a card imprint in case of damage or no fuel but we haven't had a problem with this company with this. We come out probably six times a year and you get loyalty point towards a free week out of season.
You find the rep in the airport and collect your car from P4, return to the same place.
We have used them for 6 years now and are very happy with them.

Drive4Fun via Economy Car Hire do it for me. I visit 10 times a year and have found them to be consistently good.

Try Decode cheap car rentals, they work with several rental companies so you can always choose the lowest price.

Algarvedriver always the cheapest and never any fuss on the return. Best company I have ever used anywhere in the world.

We used to do all that years ago - 8 to 10 visits a year - cost a fortune in car hire - so bought a car (left-hooker) that we take down in March/April and bring it back in October. Initial outlay was heavy - but on a like-for-like comparison (including the airport taxi fares) it works out a lot less than hiring each time. It has helped us see so much more of Northern Portugal and Spain into the bargain.

This year we will start the import process - ouch!

we always use www.auto-europe.co.uk never had a problem yet. Although at Easter for the four day break we are trying a new one called arguscarhire.com who like autoeurope are an agent and when our voucher came through it was with algarve cars and only cost 62 euros as apposed to over 100 euros, we have private car insure with insurance4carhire.com who hav proved very good - as last christmas our car was broken.
Has anyone used arguscarhire before and if so what is your opinion.
